Big red is the First Life size Horse Colleen Lavender has created, Commissioned by BEXLAND on the Sunshine Coast he proudly greets clients arriving on their property. He is constructed using an internal framework and shaped 44 gallon drum steel on the outer layer. Colleen took nine months to create Big Red, finding her way through different bending techniques and skills. He is lively and charismatic, as is the subject he was Sculpted to depict, her use of the Plasma cutter is unique in the way that Colleen cuts pattern pieces then shaped and welded together to create this dynamic and bold Equine Sculpture
